Champagne French Bakery Cafe
The Champagne French Bakery Cafe, tucked away in the center at Central Park Ave. and Irvine Blvd., is quite a find. This little cafe has a real following of loyal customers who have discovered the great food at a great bakery.
I love the variety of foods presented there. Feel like breakfast while you read the Sunday paper? Head over and enjoy the delicious coffee and lattes along with the Brioche French Toast with bacon or Brie & Roasted Red Pepper omelet with zucchini, yellow squash and eggplant. This is no Denny's.
Time for lunch? Champagne French Bakery Cafe still has you covered with soups and sandwiches. I especially like the Prosciutto Brie Panini and the Hot Chicken Pesto Sandwich.
And then there are the flatbreads. Try the Five Fromages Flatbread with mozzarella, Swiss, pecorino, jack and provolone, or the very light Pesto-Tomato Flatbread.
But we're here to present the award for the salads. I like the light salads that are perfect as a healthy meal or as an accompaniment to one of the delicious entrees.

Hearts of palm, mango, mixed nuts, goat cheese crostini, tomato, and French curry dressing.
Parisian Salad
Candied pecans, apples, raisins, dried cranberries, Gorgonzola, red onions, and shallots tossed with mixed greens and hearts of romaine in a balsamic vinaigrette (add chicken $1.00).
Chopped Salad
Diced chicken, avocado, tomato, radishes, cucumber & spring greens with Parmesan cheese, croutons, Dijon vinaigrette dressing, and served with baguette crisps.
Nicoise Salad
Albacore tuna, potatoes, tomatoes, red onions, green beans, hard-boiled eggs & olives with Dijon vinaigrette.
Chicken Caesar Salad
Classic Caesar salad topped with thinly sliced chicken & served with baguette crisps.
